Fundraising /needs /goals  

We aim for 200 children from preschool till year 7 and at present have 100 from 4 years old (prep) till 10 years (year 4).The children will be then supported into secondary schooling.

The desperate need is for:

- Health care, consisting of medicines, blood tests to establish HIV status, immunizations.

- Repairs of eating and play areas.

- water tanks and food supplies .We need to supply 2 nutritional meals a day as these children are often not eating for days at a time and as many children have HIV /TB the nutritional needs are significant and provision essential to limit disease progression.

It's work in progress and to date the American school Year 4 students of Dubai have raised funds following a talk which provided wheat for families over the summer break, medicines and school repairs started.

400 kgs of essential supplies were transported recently also consisting of blankets, clothes, toothbrushes and soaps. Blankets are so needed as these children lay on dirty old mattresses with 3-4 family members or directly on dirt floors with nil warmth. Toothbrushes, soaps and milk powder will ensure over a lengthy school break they have a few basic needs.

The witnessed emotion and tears of joy on distribution is very humbling there are many ways to help and from simple to very creative we value all ideas, input, suggestions and help.
