| From the amazing generosity of Hopes and Dreams Foundation, we’re delighted to announce that Raey Children's and Family Community Centre now owns 1750m2 of fertile land in the Kebene council district of Yerer! Furthermore, Hopes and Dreams have committed to contributing to the building of the new school, community and medical centre which will eventually care and cater for over 200 families. This is a milestone and a dream come true for the children, staff, guardians and volunteers of the Raey community. |

DESC have been supporting RAEY, a non government organisation based in Ethiopia. The charity committee have been working incredibly hard to come up with ideas for raising money. This year we have been very successful with our many fundraisers.

Gulf For Good |
Gulf for Good are organizing "Trek Ethiopia" a fabulous trek through the gorges, cliffs, peaks and plateaus of the dramatic Simien Mountains in Ethiopia to raise funds for RAEY. If you'd like to get fit, challenge yourself, do something extraordinary and help RAEY, then this is the event for you!

American School of Dubai Community Service program raised AED 8431 for RAEY in 2009”. The projects the kids worked on were:
1. Xmas bags - Donations of AED 2960 for gifts
2. Jumble sale - Raised AED 3297 for sewing machine and blankets
3. Friendship bracelets - AED 2174 for RAEY's HIV Centre
4. Also donations in kind - water bottles, backpacks and shoes

Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic would like to thank RAEY – the Child and Family Help Association for their continued help and dedication towards the African communities. Due to the tireless efforts of Dr. Carolyn Lee Roesler and numerous volunteers, the children and families experience love, care & humanity, some of them for the first time in their lives.
We strongly believe in this project and as of 1st October 2010 we also support RAEY - the Child and Family Help Association with a monthly donation.
We have all experienced little things can make such a huge difference in our lives and we therefore would like to invite all of you to support this wonderful project and to put a smile on someone’s face. |
